MoonyBaby Baby Monitor with 2 Cameras
MoonyBaby Baby Monitor is a 2-camera non-wifi baby monitor that comes with split-screen viewing. Moonybaby is particularly great for parents who have more than one baby or twins and would like to use it to monitor them. I
The only other recently-released split-screen viewing monitor that challenges Moonybaby video baby monitor is the Babysense and Heimvision HM136, our overall best baby monitor for twins.
Below are some of the features of the 4.3-inch Moonybaby video monitor:
Brand: Moonybaby
Type: Video Monitor
Weight: 2.8 pounds
Dimension: 5.0 x 4.7 x 7.6″
Display Size: 5 inch
Power Source: Battery and AC
Zoom: Yes
Communication: 2-way
Maximum Range: 1000 ft.
I personally prefer this 5-inch model compared to the older 4.3-inch model of Moonybaby video baby monitor for the obvious reason that it enables you to view bigger images of your baby.
Pros (Features We Like the Most)
- Inexpensive: For less than $130, you get a video baby monitor with several features and two cameras. Other baby monitors such as Infant Optics would cost you up to $265 to get it to work with 2 cameras
- Split-Screen Viewing: Among the top non-wifi baby monitors we reviewed, Moonybaby stands out because of this split-screen viewing feature. While several other baby monitors support up to 4 cameras, most of them require you to toggle between one video footage to another. With Moonybaby, you get to view footage of two or more cameras on a single screen. You should, however, note that you’ll only hear audio from one camera
- Lullabies: If you have a problem getting your baby to sleep sometimes, Moonybaby has a solution for you. It comes with 5 inbuilt lullabies that you can play your baby to sleep.
- VOX: Moonybaby is voice-activated and this helps to increase the battery life and reduce EMF emission that your baby gets exposed.
- Long Range: Unlike other baby monitors such as Eufy Spaceview S which have only 460 ft. range, Moonybaby has 1000 ft range outdoors and 200 to 300 ft range indoors.
- Digital Zoom: You can zoom digital images of your baby to get closer detail.
Moonybaby Video Baby Monitor with one Camera
For under $100, you can get Moonybaby video baby monitor but with one less camera. This $89 video baby monitor comes with one camera but has all the great features you’d want in a baby monitor.
Below are some of the features we really like with Moonbaby
- Two-way talk
- Lullabies
- Long battery life
- 5-inch screen
- Room temperature sensor
- Night vision
Cons of Moonybaby Video Baby Monitor
- Battery Life: We went through reviews of customers that gave Moonybaby low review ratings and uncovered that most of them were not happy with the battery life. Some complained that the battery only lasts for less than 2 hours and it starts beeping very loudly enough to wake up your baby. However, Moonybaby comes with three adapters, one for each of the cameras and one for the parent unit. If battery life is your only issue with this baby monitor, I recommend you use AC power and have it plugged in all the time.
- Durability: Moonybaby is not very sturdy and easily breaks if it falls down from a higher surface such as a table.

MoonyBaby Split 50 vs 60 vs 55
MoonyBaby Split 60 has a longer battery life of 12 to 14 hours which is more than double the battery life you’ll get with Moonybaby Split 50 which lasts for 6 to 8 hours. In addition, MoonyBaby Split 60 has a 4.3-inch LCD screen while the MoonyBaby split 50 has a 5-inch LCD screen.
Both MoonyBaby Split 50 and MoonyBaby Split 60 come with 2 cameras and do not support additional cameras. You can view the video feeds from the cameras on the split-screen parent units.
Both MoonyBaby Split 55 and Split 60 have similar features including a 4.3-inch LCD screen but the Split 60 has a much longer battery life of about 12 to 14 hours compared to Split 55 which has 6 to 8 hours battery life.
MoonyBaby Split 50 differs from Split 55 and 60 in that Split 50 does not have a remote pan and tilt camera which is a feature that both Split 55 and Split 60 have.

Moonbaby FAQs and Troubleshooting
If your Moonybaby video baby monitor won’t turn on, you need to reset it by disconnecting the power source. You can unplug the AC power or remove the batteries and put it back after about 10 seconds. If it doesn’t work, you can reach out to Moonybaby customer service using the email above.
While Moonybaby claims that its camera can be linked to the parent unit for up to 1000 ft., users have found this to be somewhat false. If you are losing the connection you need to make sure that your camera and parent unit are not close to a device that uses 2.4GHz frequency as that will bring signal interference.
The camera may also lose link connection when there is a power outage. You’ll need to pair it when the power is back. Even if it is a split-second power outage. This is a huge flaw of this monitor
